Playa Corcho is equal parts jungle hike and small quiet beach. The hike itself isn’t demanding as long as you are willing to brave slightly rough terrain and tree roots that want to trip you. At the end of the hike, you come out to a beach where you’re unlikely to see anyone else. We’ve been there a few times and only once saw a person, and he was on the hiking trail. The trail is wide at the start and then towards the end narrows and there a very short more technical part but most people will navigate it just fine. The trip will take you about 15-20 minutes at a steady pace.
La spiaggia è piccola, ma ha una bellissima sabbia bianca. Ci sono rocce su entrambe le estremità, dove è possibile arrampicarsi ed esplorare. Ci sono alcuni piccoli punti sabbiosi dove è possibile immergersi nell'acqua bassa per rinfrescarsi, ma non è una spiaggia adatta al nuoto.
La spiaggia si apre su Puerto Ferro, una baia che è un vivaio per moltissime specie, dalle diverse mangrovie agli squali, ai delfini (il mammifero grigio, non il pesce verde), ai tarponi, ecc. Con un po' di fortuna, potreste avvistare un delfino o una tartaruga che giocano nella baia. Altrimenti, godetevi la solitudine.
