Playa Corcho is equal parts jungle hike and small quiet beach. The hike itself isn’t demanding as long as you are willing to brave slightly rough terrain and tree roots that want to trip you. At the end of the hike, you come out to a beach where you’re unlikely to see anyone else. We’ve been there a few times and only once saw a person, and he was on the hiking trail. The trail is wide at the start and then towards the end narrows and there a very short more technical part but most people will navigate it just fine. The trip will take you about 15-20 minutes at a steady pace.
La playa es pequeña, pero tiene una hermosa arena blanca. Hay rocas en cada extremo y se puede escalar y explorar. Hay algunos rincones de arena donde se puede refrescar en aguas poco profundas, pero no es una playa ideal para nadar.
La playa se abre a Puerto Ferro, una bahía que es criadero de muchísimas especies, desde diferentes manglares hasta tiburones, delfines (el mamífero gris, no el pez verde), sábalos, etc. Con suerte, podrá ver un delfín o una tortuga jugando en la bahía. Si no, simplemente disfrute de la tranquilidad.
